Hospital Operations Management Oversees the smooth functioning of day-to-day hospital activities. Coordinates between clinical departments and support services (housekeeping, security, transport, catering, etc.). Ensures that patient services, from registration to discharge, are streamlined and patient-centric. Human Resource & Staffing Administration Manages recruitment, deployment, payroll, timekeeping, and training of non-clinical and support staff. Maintains staffing levels in compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory frameworks. Regulatory & Legal Compliance Ensures the hospital adheres to health ministry guidelines, local municipal regulations, licensing, accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, ISO), and legal obligations. Prepares documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications. Infrastructure & Facility Management Oversees hospital premises, maintenance, utility services, biomedical waste management, and safety protocols. Coordinates repairs, upgrades, and renovations in clinical and non-clinical areas. Finance & Procurement Support Assists in budgeting, vendor management, procurement of medical and non-medical supplies, and inventory control. Works closely with the finance department to monitor administrative expenditures. Medical Records & Data Governance Ensures safe and confidential handling of patient records in both physical and electronic formats. Supports digitization initiatives (e.g., EMR/HIS implementation). Coordination & Communication Acts as a bridge between hospital management, clinical leadership, external agencies, and the public. Coordinates internal meetings, strategic reviews, training programs, and policy rollouts. Crisis & Emergency Preparedness Develops and enforces disaster management protocols and hospital emergency response plans. Coordinates logistics during mass casualty events, outbreaks, or public health emergencies.
