Dr. Arjun Shrestha is a senior eye surgeon, and he completed his MBBS from Tribhuvan University, Maharajgunj Medical Campus, and MD in Ophthalmology from Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, including a visiting fellowship rotation in Geisinger Health Care System, Pennsylvania, USA. He was also awarded the Initiate to be a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, USA, and pursued a Fellowship in Vitreo- Retina Surgery from Bern University Eye Hospital, Switzerland. Dr. Arjun Shrestha occupies the prestigious role of Head of Department and Faculty of NBMS Ophthalmology at the BP Eye Foundation, CHHERS, Bhaktapur.His influence extends beyond borders as he assumes the crucial position of Master Eye Doctor in the Retina Eye Care of Nepal (RECON) Project, a significant initiative supported by JICA and Tokushima University in Japan. He also achieved successful training in modern and advanced Cataract Surgery from Japan and was a member of the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, UK. He is a high-volume eye surgeon with experiences of more than 100,000 eye surgeries with the highest record of 12,000 eye surgeries in a single calendar year in 2012. He was the Cataract Surgeon Trainer of Fred Hollows Foundation, Australia and has taught ophthalmology in the Philippines, Myanmar, and Eritrea. He is highly experienced in the implantation of advanced Mono-focal, Multi-focal, Trifocal, Extended depth of focus, and Toric intraocular lenses during Phacoemulsification cataract surgery.
